Texas Northeast Fourth
Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction
MOTHER ERMA B. PARKER
Supervisor of Women
DEPARTMENT OF WOMEN
BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH
Mother Parker is a lifelong member of the Church of God in Christ. She received her training at the
House of Prayer Church of God in Christ where her parents, Elder H. Y. and District Missionary Lutisha
Morris Ansley, were founders. This training has jettisoned her into leadership in the local, district, state
and national arenas of the Church of God in Christ.
She serves in her local church, House of Prayer Church of God in Christ, in past and present positions
under the leadership of Pastor Michael Garner. She feels that no job is too great or too small in the
work of the Lord and has served as church Musician, Secretary, Missionary Circle President, Sunday School
Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Assistant President of the Prayer and Bible Band, Deaconess President,
Coordinator of Department of Women and one of her most favorite areas, Director of the House of Prayer
Friday Community Free Feeding Program.
Mother Parker has served on numerous levels as President of the District Choir, Secretary of the Department of Women, as District Missionary, as the Registrar of the Jurisdictional Music Department and as Executive Secretary of the DOW under the leadership of the late Jurisdictional Supervisor, Mother Odessa Newman in the Texas Northeast First Jurisdiction.
After the tenure of Mother Odessa Newman, she was appointed by the late Bishop J. Neaul Haynes to the Executive Committee of the Department of Women to help oversee the functioning of the department before the appointment of the late Jurisdictional Supervisor, Mother Freddye Carter. She served under Mother Carter's leadership of the Department of Women as Chairperson of Dallas Districts Area No.2, President of the District Missionaries Unit, Platform and Protocol Coordinator, Jurisdictional Women's Convention Marshall and Jurisdictional Adjutant Sister. Mother Parker served Jurisdictional Supervisor, Mother Pia Haynes Williams as President of the District Missionaries Unit, Jurisdictional Women's Convention Marshall and Mentor for new District Missionaries.
After the demise of the great late Bishop J. Neaul Haynes, Texas Northeast Fourth Jurisdiction was organized under the leadership of Bishop Nathiel Wells. God directed Bishop Wells to select this jewel and without hesitation he called Mother Parker to serve as the Jurisdictional Supervisor of the Department of Women. With great honor and humility, she accepted realizing this was all a part of God's will and plan for her life. Mother Parker is no stranger to the National work; she serves as a National Adjutant Sister and works under the leadership of Mother Bell in the Bishop's Induction Chambers. She also serves as one of the Secretaries to the International District Missionaries Unit. She has been a National choir member and served the Church of God in Christ International Music Department as Corresponding Secretary under the leadership of the late Dr. Mattie Moss Clark.
Mother Parker knows her life is in God's hands and His will shall be done in her life, while standing firm on His word in Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."
